Stonewards

The Stonewards are one of the ten orders of Knights Radiant, steadfast and dependable warriors known for their reliability and willingness to bear any burden, wielding the Surges of Cohesion and Tension. They are associated with the Herald Taln and bond peakspren. The Stonewards are renowned for their resolve and their refusal to retreat.

Surges

Stonewards command the Surges of Cohesion and Tension. Cohesion, shared with the Willshapers, grants the power to manipulate the structure of solid matter, reshaping stone and other materials. Tension, shared with the Bondsmiths, grants control over the rigidity and flexibility of objects, allowing soft things to be made rigid or rigid things made pliable.

Ideals

After the shared First Ideal, the Stonewards swear further order-specific oaths reflecting their dependability and their willingness to hold the line and take up whatever duty is needed. Their ethos centers on being the one who can always be relied upon, the immovable defender.

Spren

Stonewards bond peakspren, Spren associated with stone and steadfastness, fitting the order's enduring and grounded character.

Notable Members

The Stonewards are associated with the Herald Taln, the Herald who alone did not abandon the Oathpact and who embodied the order's ideal of bearing any burden without flinching. As the orders are reborn during the Archive, Stonewards take their place among the gathered Knights Radiant.
